Flower Installation

My installation is a flower-shaped design inspired by a traditional Thai ceremonial flower torch. A soft light shines from the middle of the flower, making it feel calm and gentle. The flower has two interactive features: a button that turns the light on and off, and a light sensor that notices when something is in front of it—this makes the flower move, like it’s reacting to someone nearby. I also used Arduino and wrote code to make a touch sensor that turns the light on when someone gently rubs or touches it.

When I made this flower, I started by drawing the shape and thinking about how to add both light and movement to make it more interesting. I learned how to connect and code a button, a light sensor, and a touch sensor so they could all work together. It was hard at first, but also fun to figure out!

This project helped me understand how sensors can make art respond to people. I also practiced fixing problems and changing the code to make everything work better. It taught me how important it is to keep testing and improving, because every small change brought me closer to what I imagined.
